In a world where data-driven decisions have a huge impact on the environment, society and business, it is essential to have effective tools to leverage this information. Critical areas such as crisis management, public safety or cybersecurity increasingly depend on big data for decision making.
ExtremeXP, led by IDEKO, responds to this need with a new analysis approach: experimentation-based analytics. This project puts the end user at the center, facilitating decision-making based on varied and complex data through a participatory approach.
ExtremeXP integrates interactive visualization and explainability techniques to validate results and ensure transparency in processes. Its modular framework includes an experimentation engine that models, plans and manages complex analytical workflows, enabling more reliable decision making.
With ExtremeXP, IDEKO leads the way towards a future where advanced analytics is more accessible, transparent and reliable in critical contexts. has context menu

Wavetailor Project: Modular laser sources for sustainable production of short personalized production series
The WAVETAILOR Project has been launched with the aim of revolutionizing the manufacturing and assembly of complex multi-material components. Focused on two industrial scenarios, the project addresses directed energy deposition for a hydrogen-powered hypersonic aircraft and powder bed fusion for an urban delivery drone. WAVETAILOR seeks to overcome challenges related to defect-free manufacturing, sustainability and first-time manufacturing precision.
This ambitious project has the collaboration of 11 entities: Lortek S.Coop., Joanneum Research, Coventry University, Europa no Luz, Aditivo Prima, Z Prime GmbH, Destinus España SL, Aerotecnic Metallic SL, Morfica SRL, the Austrian Agency . of Energy and Tematys. Each of these partners brings their experience and knowledge to drive WAVETAILOR‘s success.
WAVETAILOR‘s objectives are clear and ambitious. First, a flexible and energy-efficient photonic setup will be developed based on a modular diode laser source and multi-wavelength optics. This configuration will allow full reconfigurability, optimizing the use of energy and materials in the manufacturing of specific use cases.
Additionally, zero defect manufacturing (ZDM) and zero waste (ZDW) manufacturing strategies will be implemented at the assembly level, controlling the compatibility of complex multi-material products at various manufacturing levels. To do this, a digital twin at the plant level and a digital twin at the cloud level will be used, facilitating the automatic evaluation of the design of components and assemblies.
The expected impact of WAVETAILOR is significant. It is estimated that, by achieving its objectives, the project will reduce energy consumption by 200 MWh and reduce waste by 923 kg, while production costs will be reduced by between 50% and 65%. A specific sustainability study throughout the project will be responsible for demonstrating these advances.
Teaming.ai Project: Human-AI collaboration for manufacturing of the future
The fourth industrial revolution, known as Industry 4.0, has brought about an unprecedented transformation in the way we manufacture products and services. However, lack of flexibility remains a significant obstacle. The TEAMING.AI project, led by IDEKO, seeks to overcome this challenge by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) systems that work closely with humans.
TEAMING.AIis presented as a revolutionary platform that promotes cooperation between humans and AI, with the aim of maintaining and evolving intelligent manufacturing systems. This project aims to achieve a significant milestone in the personalization of products and services, adapting AI technologies to meet the individual needs of each manufacturing process.
The essence of TEAMING.AI lies in its human-centric approach. Instead of relegating the worker to the background, this platform ensures that humans maintain a crucial role in the industrial landscape of the future. Through a new teamwork framework, the strengths of both humans and AI will be maximized, optimizing manufacturing processes.
One of the fundamental pillars of this project is the optimization of manufacturing processes. By enabling close collaboration between humans and AI, more flexible and adaptable solutions can be implemented to the changing needs of the industry. Additionally, the project emphasizes compliance with ethical and safety guidelines, ensuring that AI adoption is carried out in a responsible and sustainable manner.
Implementing TEAMING.AI promises a number of significant benefits.
- Certifiable AI for human autonomy: the project seeks to develop AI systems that can be certified, guaranteeing their safety and effectiveness in a collaborative work environment with humans.
- Better adoption and acceptance of AI: by effectively integrating humans into AI-driven processes, greater acceptance and adoption of these technologies in the industry is expected.
- Reduction in installation time and maintenance cost: efficient collaboration between humans and AI will optimize installation times and reduce costs associated with the maintenance of manufacturing systems.
- More flexible production processes: Flexibility in production processes is key to adapting to changing market demands. This project will facilitate this adaptability, allowing companies to respond quickly to new opportunities and challenges.
TEAMING.AI is not only marking a milestone in the evolution of Industry 4.0, but is also redefining the role of humans in the modern industrial environment. With a focus on ethical and safe collaboration between humans and AI, this project promises to transform smart manufacturing, making it more flexible, efficient and personalized.
