Last Wednesday, June 4th, we held a live event with MONDRAGON Health, an opportunity to learn about the most innovative projects of two of its cooperatives: ERREKA Medical and Osarten.
ERREKA Medical, represented by Ane Bernaola, Key Account Manager, specializes in the contract manufacturing of polymer components for medical devices. Its focus on quality and precision has allowed the cooperative to establish itself as a leader in the field of medical technology.
Osarten, with the participation of Eneka Zancada, a nurse specializing in occupational and preventive health, is dedicated to promoting the well-being of workers. Through preventive services and health programs, Osarten plays a crucial role in improving working conditions and health within the cooperative.
During the livestream, the MONDRAGON HEALTH Award for the Transformation of Health and Care: Health, socio-sanitary care and biotechnology, a new category within the TFG-TFM MONDRAGON Sariak 2025 Awards. This award seeks to recognize innovative initiatives that make a significant difference in the field of health and care. The awards, which in their fourth edition will distribute more than €26,000, are open to bachelor’s and master’s degree projects that address challenges in various areas, including health and care.

AIMS5.0 Project: Artificial Intelligence for a sustainable, resilient and people-centred industry
The European project AIMS5.0 (Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing leading to Sustainability and Industry 5.0), in which IDEKO is actively participating, aims to transform European industry by integrating artificial intelligence throughout the manufacturing value chain.
With the participation of 53 partners from 12 European countries and led by Infineon Technologies AG, AIMS5.0 seeks to accelerate the transition from Industry 4.0 to a new, more humane, sustainable and digitally sovereign model: Industry 5.0.
The initiative addresses the current challenges of the European industrial ecosystem by promoting AI technologies that enable more efficient, adaptive and environmentally friendly production. IDEKO, an expert centre in advanced manufacturing, contributes to the project by developing solutions applied to intelligent production processes.
AIMS5.0 is aligned with the objectives of the European Green Pact and the European Union’s digital strategy, committed to a more resilient, collaborative and people-centred industry.

Get to know LABORAL Kutxa’s day-to-day work and its most innovative projects
As part of the MONDRAGON Sariak 2025 TFG-TFM Awards, we have held a new live session with the participation of LABORAL Kutxa, one of the cooperatives sponsoring this year’s edition. The aim of this session was to bring the university students closer to the vision, values and opportunities offered by the institution in the financial and social sphere.
The impact of ethical finance on the co-operative ecosystem
During the session, Ane Bollada, Programmer Analytics at LABORAL Kutxa, shared the role played by the institution within the MONDRAGON ecosystem, as well as its commitment to a financial model that combines innovation, technology and social commitment.
Key issues were addressed, such as the challenges currently facing the financial sector, the projects that LABORAL Kutxa promotes in the field of sustainability and inclusion, and the professional and research profiles that they seek to promote through the awards.
A space to inspire future TFG and TFM with purpose
This live event has been an opportunity for students who are developing their Bachelor’s or Master’s Final Projects to discover how they can connect their academic interests with real projects of social transformation, from a cooperative and impactful perspective.
The TFG-TFM MONDRAGON Sariak Awards continue to consolidate themselves as a platform that makes young talent visible and links it with organisations committed to change.
FLEX4REX Project: Data spaces for flexible production lines & supply chains
The European project FLEX4REX, led by IDEKO together with 16 other European companies, aims to develop an ecosystem of industrial data spaces that boosts flexibility and resilience in production lines and supply chains.
In an increasingly uncertain global context, marked by logistical disruptions, geopolitical tensions, and accelerated digitalization, FLEX4REX proposes an innovative approach: creating collaborative environments based on data shared in a secure, interoperable, and sovereign manner.
Through this approach, the project seeks to facilitate smart and agile decision-making in manufacturing environments, helping companies adapt to unexpected changes and optimize their resources in a coordinated manner.
FLEX4REX involves the participation of research centers, SMEs, and large industrial companies from across Europe and is part of continental strategies toward Industry 5.0, where connectivity, sustainability, and distributed intelligence are key.
