Ander Muniategui Merino

My work at Lortek focuses on the development of inspection systems to detect defects in welded parts. The inspection systems that we develop at Lortek are installed on our customers’ production lines and they have the architecture necessary to work with GPUs, Machine Learning and Deep Learning tools. They manage the images and data that are generated and provide the real-time and historical visualisation of parts with the option of annotating defects in situ. In particular, my work focuses on managing and developing projects in which AI is applied in industrial processes. Specifically, my work focuses on developing and using Deep Learning models to detect patterns and defects in welded parts; ranging from generating synthetic images for model training to model optimisation and deployment.
