The impact of Artificial Intelligence and Additive Manufacturing on modern industry

Last February 19, we celebrated a new Shaking HUB LIVE, focusing on the impact of Artificial Intelligence and Additive Manufacturing on modern industry. The session highlights the MADISON project, an innovative initiative that aims to optimize each stage of the Additive Manufacturing process.

MADISON: A commitment to sustainable additive manufacturing

The MADISON project made up of LORTEK, AIDIMME, CEIT and CATEC research centers. Project gon aims to promote additive manufacturing in a comprehensive way, based on digitization and sustainability.

During the event, key aspects were addressed, such as the manufacture and characterization of metallic powders, the development of new materials, the improvement of existing processes and the validation of test methodologies for industrial application.

Speakers and topics covered

The event was attended by prominent experts in the sector:

  • Marta Muñiz Mangas, Researcher in the Additive Manufacturing Technologies Group at LORTEK S.COOP., presented the Additive Manufacturing technologies developed at her center, including innovations in advanced processes and thermomechanical models.
  • Luis Portolés Griñán, Head of the Technologies and Processes Area at AIDIMME, and José Ramón Blasco Puchades, Head of New Manufacturing Processes at AIDIMME, presented the structure and objectives of the MADISON project, highlighting its focus on sustainability and digitalization.
  • Antonio Periñán, Head of the Additive Manufacturing Unit at CATEC, addressed the latest innovations in materials, processes and digitalization in Additive Manufacturing, with a comprehensive approach to the value chain.
  • Iñigo Iturriza Zubillaga, Senior Principal Researcher at CEIT, explained how cooperative work in the development of materials and processes is driving excellence in Additive Manufacturing.

A key event for the sector

This edition of Shaking HUB LIVE has been a great opportunity to learn about the advances that are shaping the future of Additive Manufacturing, allowing attendees to explore new perspectives and solutions for the industry.
